WELCOME
Kingdom Life is an attempt to bring you back to the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus. If you are passionate and serious about your walk with God and want to grow in faith in Christ, then you are at the right place.
Most modern day churches are large, attractive, appealing to the senses, and have plenty of programs, conferences, picnics, leaders meetings, training's, shared dinners and much more. They are all good and perhaps have their place in Christian ministry. However, they have little impact on reaching the lost millions around us with the saving power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, much of todays teachings, both online and in churches are focused on self growth, positive thinking, good morals, financial prosperity, keys to happy marriages and other worldly ideologies of the "abundant life" Jesus came to give us. Not all, but many Christians are far removed from pursuing a personal and intimate knowledge of our Lord. Whilst being busy "involved" and "serving" in churches, most believers remain powerless in their personal struggles with addictive behaviors and sin let alone ministering to others in the power of the Holy Spirit.
If we are honest to ourselves, we all surely at one time or the other desired and aspired to walk in the same power as Paul and Peter did. We wanted to pray over the lame and see them walk instantly. We wanted to pray for the blind and see them open their eyes with amazement. We wanted to cast out demons and deliver people, hear the voice of God and get a word of knowledge about someone like Peter did when he spoke to Ananias and Sapphira. We all aspire to walk in His super natural power. We read verses such as Mark 11:24 and believed we could ask for literally anything in prayer and it would be granted us. But that doesn't happen as easily does it? The truth friends is that He is God, Almighty, Holy, All Powerful and we must step into His presence with humility, holiness, and reverence. "Without holiness, no man shall see the Lord" - Hebrews 12:14
An intimate walk with Him takes great humility, surrender and a true revelation knowledge of "Apart from Me, you can do nothing". Such a walk with Him comes from a deep hunger and thirst to KNOW Him, which in turn causes you to fast and pray much because you only have one desire in life and that is to KNOW Him, to SEE Him as He is and to HEAR Him speak to you. There is no place for recognition or fame or a desire for an affluent lifestyle or anything else that hinders you from having a clear conscience before God. Such a walk with Him comes from a deep desire to overcome all forms of sin in your life and walk in purity and in obedience to His word. After all, is it not "sin" that separated mankind from God in the first place? Didn't Jesus come for this very reason; to remove sin from the world? John the Baptist said "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." (John 1:29). And He did for sure by His death and resurrection. The wages of sin was death, but He rendered sin powerless against us by rising from the dead. Therefore, He has made it possible for us to live as He did, without sinning. God expects us to live in holiness and purity and not just go to church, sing songs, get involved in serving, go to camps and conferences and call ourselves Christians when having a defeated private life. How is your private life when no one is watching? God does see you. Are we all meant to be perfect? No, that we will never be until we are transformed into His likeness when He returns, but we must be consciously putting to death the deeds of our sinful nature by the Spirit. - Romans 8:13
There are some men and women of God who live pure and holy lives. They are not perfect and will never be until Christ returns and we get glorious bodies, but they fight and overcome sin. They die to themselves and live for God. They give up on worldly and sensual desires and refrain from fulfilling the lust of their flesh and find all contentment and satisfaction in Christ alone. They have no desire for fame or recognition or money. Criticism and compliments; both do not have any effect on them. They live to glorify Jesus in all they do. And their ministries are very similar to that of Paul and Peter. At their very presence, demons flee, people are set free, people are healed from sicknesses and the gifts of the Holy Spirit manifest in great love and compassion. And even when all of these happen, they refrain from glorying in it and worship God in spirit and truth with gratitude.
I know I am far from being like that and am more like any of you reading this, but I also know God is no respecter of persons. It is His will that all of us seek such intimacy with Him. I pursue holiness and purity and put up a fight with any sin that threatens to derail my walk with God. Just as Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:27 - "I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified." And one does not have to be in full time ministry to live such lives. The bible is full of characters who were in positions of authority or were business professionals who still walked with God. Joseph, David, Gideon, Daniel, Aquila, Priscilla, and Cornelius are just a few examples.

The reality is that there is a vast lost world around you. Millions of poverty stricken people around you, thousands of orphaned children roaming the streets and people in despair without hope. Multiplied millions have never heard the good news of salvation through Christ Jesus and they perish without ever knowing the love of the Lord. No amount of inspiring conferences, eloquent guest speakers, love offerings, worship bands with a dazzling display of lights and smoke machines is going to have any impact on the desperately lost millions. Hosting a conference costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. How about television ministries? Whilst many of the preachers on TV are only there for glamour, popularity, recognition and/or seeking more money for their so called ministries, a few of them contribute to teaching and equipping believers in the knowledge of God's word. Being on television costs thousands of dollars per episode. Churches classify these costs as missions expenses and gloat in the fact that they are on TV in several hundred countries all over the world. But TV programs do very little to nothing to reach out to the lost with the gospel and the love of our Lord. Most lost people do not watch Christian TV. Yes, surely there may be a few exceptions. I am convinced that preachers are not on TV for those few exceptions. They like to glory in the "perception" that they reach hundreds and thousands of people all over the world with the word of God through TV. In reality, the people impact is minimal. There is an appearance of success in modern day medium to large churches because of the flurry of activities and busyness in the ministry, giving the very sincere participants (believers) a sense of achievement in "serving the Lord". However, in business terminology, this is a massive loss making operation. If there was a cost per conversion calculation, a shrewd businessman would quickly pull out to minimize losses and stop the bleeding. Doesn't God expect us to be good stewards of the resources He places in our hands?
I once was lost, but now I am found. I treasure the gospel message and Christ my Lord more than anything else I've got. He is that precious pearl to me for which I have sold everything. It is kind of hard to sit back and do nothing, especially after having personally experienced the forgiveness for my sins and basked in the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Most of us are quite happy to spend hundreds of dollars to attend conference after conferences, go to worship concerts, buy Christian books, DVDs and more (none of which is wrong in any way) whilst it only takes a few dollars to make a huge impact in the lives of poverty stricken families living in the worst of slums in many countries around the world. It takes a lot of money, resources and man power to run conferences. Costs include venue rentals, sound systems, lightings, guest speaker's airfares, love offerings, hotel accommodation costs, food, logistics, volunteers, and so much more. A handful of people do get blessed, but the unfortunate truth is that most people attending these conferences are seeking to please their senses with signs, miracles and a personal word for themselves and have very less to no interest or compassion for those perishing without having heard the greatest news of all even once in their life time. Don't get me wrong. Conferences are good, but only when done for the right reasons and with the right motive. Why not invest much of the resources into evangelizing a lost world, discipling believers, training pastors and planting new churches? Bible League International does exactly that. And then have a conference with all your new church planters and new believers, encouraging them, equipping them and teaching them to multiply. Would that not be a more wise stewardship of God's resources?
Whenever I visit countries in Asia, the "lost-ness" of the nations simply overwhelms me. The thought of how resourceful and rich the global church is and how little of it is actually used to reach out to the poor and the lost in unreached nations is a very sad thing. Hundreds and thousands of years have gone by and nations like India, China, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and many other similar countries has seen very little action from the global church. Yes, the western churches look far better now. Thousands and probably millions of God given dollars are spent on impressive auditoriums, much better music and worship, expensive lighting and sound systems, inspiring conferences and seminars, television programs, leadership training's and community outreaches, food banks, but I wonder....Is the gospel really being preached to the lost world? Are disciples being made? Are disciples multiplying and are more churches being planted? Isn't that what the Great Commission is?

Many indigenous missionaries plant multiple new churches every month with several hundred brand new believers and with very minimal investment but with a giant heart for God and love for the lost. Talking about return on investment, do you want to put a $ value on a conference and TV programs and measure the success rates in terms of brand new first generation church plants?
I examined modern day Christianity and the gospels and concluded, if Jesus was here today (after His resurrection), He would want to simply love people, reach out to them with unexplainable compassion, heal them and transform them and bless them with a brand new sin free, curse free and abundant life. His ministry today would be exactly the same as it was 2000 years ago. He would still preach forgiveness of sins, freedom from sin, offer the free gift of righteousness through faith in Him and everlasting life. He would still heal the sick, cast out demons and deliver the oppressed. He would not change his tactics to keep up with the times. He wouldn't need to. Jesus isn't here today, but aren't we His body? Isn't the Holy Spirit given and sent to us in His place, so we can do exactly what He did?
